Star Wars: Rebels | Sentinel Class Shuttle

The Sentinel Class Shuttle / Sentinel Class Dropship was a common transport used by the Galactic Empire. It has been featured in many medias but this rendition is based on the 'STAR WARS: REBELS' appearance.

This shuttle was created and used by The Galactic Empire. Its notable features being the roomy, roundish troop bay, the impressive armament of 6 blaster cannons, and a twin rear facing blaster, uncommon for Imperial warships.

The vehicle first appeared in the now called 'STAR WARS: Legends' and was digitally edited into the remaster of 'STAR WARS: Episode 4'. It is commonly mistaken as the Lambda Class Shuttle, which first appeared in 'STAR WARS: Return of the Jedi'.

During production for 'STAR WARS: REBELS', the vehicle was redesigned and commonly appeared through the entire show. Some noticeable changes are forward opening hatch instead of the port and aft drop doors on the body of the transport. The Sentinel itself was downsized, while mysteriously still holding a 38 meter length. A design change, I like way more than the 'pancake' Sentinel, as I call it.

I also went and added the lights seen on Aircraft / Space Craft sometimes seen on Imperial transports. Red / Green / White Navigation lights on the wings, Red anti- collision lights on the top and bottom of the body, landing lights and ramp fog lights.
