Godzilla | 'Kiryu' MechaGodzilla

Mechagodzilla, also named MFS-3, and 'Kiryu' was the counterpart Kaiju to Godzilla. This edition specifically, was created on-top the bones of the Original Godzilla from 1954, with the sole purpose of defending Japan's shores from the extra ordinary giants that raided her cities time and time again. This version of Kiryu was featured in 'Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla 2003', identifiable due to the blue colors of the rocket booster, rocket launcher backpack, aswell as the rounded, freeze ray cannon in his chest.

This is my favorite Mechagodzilla ever, as I grew up with him as a kid. His look is perfection, his weapons are numerous and cool, his stride is awesome and his personality is deeper than any other Mechagodzilla yet. I loved tagging along with the crew inside as the movies went, and even though we won't be seeing Kiryu again, every good story comes to an end.

That said, I did make some changes to Mr. Perfect due to personal preference. The most visible change is the Mouth Maser cannons. I changed them from their very bland, sturdy cylinder appearance, to a more fragile, but iconic dish shape. The Maser cannons in Godzilla 1999 (And all the other films) had these dish shaped beam guns, which stuck with me ever since. If there's a maser cannon, it's gotta look like that!

Kiryu stands at 60 meters tall, weighing in at a massive 40,000 tons. He comes equipped with a wide array of tools for any giant monster problem that needs dealt with. His entrance to every battle features his huge rocket booster thrusters, built into his thighs (I forgot to take a picture of these!), back, and added to with his Backpack. After a mighty roar, his offensive weapons engage, as the twin railguns on his arms open fire, and for additional damage, the Maser cannons in his mouth. For close range combat, Kiryu excelled. In the movie he is seen throwing punches like a MMA boxer, and using his tail to whip his foes. Utilizing his thrusters for quick mobility (for a 40,000 ton machine), he also can dodge counter attacks, or use them for a hard body slam. Aswell, his arm gauntlets had extendable blades, that could pierce Godzilla's skin, and be supercharged with electricity.

His show stopper is the Absolute Zero Cannon, which fires a ball of energy that flash freezes the target into Absolute Zero, causing damage to the molecular level itself, causing the object to disintegrate entirely. However such a awesome display of firepower comes at a cost. Kiryu is shown to drain his power levels frequently, where he then has to be Air Evac'd out, or recharged in the battle.

As said above, the Thigh Boosters are properly modelled, rigged, textures, same with his back underneath the Backpack, I just forgot to render this out during the batch.
