"Our Imperium is besieged. Across a thousand worlds we fight for survival. Those that would tear Humanity down are legion. Our forces are few, our enemies many. There is no respite. There is no mercy. And in our darkest hour, a spiteful universe awakens forgotten evils to break us. The galaxy burns. Yet still we stand, the last bulwark against the terror. And while we draw breath we will fight. For in this new, dark age... There is only war."
Primaris Space Marines are a new breed of Transhuman warriors developed over the span of ten thousand years. Primaris Space Marines are bigger, more resilient, physically more powerful and possess faster reaction times than their original Astartes counterparts.
This is my Primaris Space Marine model, which is based on the Primaris Space Marine from Warhammer 40,000.
I have added some personalization changes to the model itself, besides the paintjob. In my history with Warhammer 40,000, I grew up with the Mark 7 'Aquila' Power Armor, rather than the Mark 4 'Maxiumus' Armor. The Primaris marines are the 'bigger, newer and better' of the Space Marines, and I felt that the Mark 7 reflects this modernization rather than the Mark 4 -> Mark 10. Just a personal taste! This is fanart of Warhammer 40,000 and a show you may not have heard of, called Kemono Friends!
Ideally, the plan was to have a full set of Space Marines in the color palate of my favorite characters from the show, but after Substance painter crashed multiple times due to the project file size being too large, I settled on just the one pictured above. A Shoebill themed Space Marine, fit with a picture of the character herself on the back chapter banner. I added a little Easter egg in the Vertex Colors, where the model's ID colors are that of a Ultramarine.
My armored giant, aswell as the Games Workshop counterparts stand at a massive 8 feet tall. The Emperor's chosen, to fight against the hordes of xenos threatening the galaxy. Perhaps I should 3d print it for a prop to spice up my office!
