Star Wars: Rebels | DT-Series Sentry Droid

The DT-Series Sentry Droid, also called the Imperial Sentry droid was featured in the Animated Series, 'STAR WARS: REBELS'.

This droid was unique, compared to other types of battle droids used in the ages before. It was created and operated by the Galactic Empire, seen defending VIPs, or precious cargo ships.

Those who are familiar with STARWARS : The Mandalorian and/or STARWARS: DARK FORCES may have a familiar brow raise when looking at this unit. While not explicitly stated by Lucasfilm / DIsney, I am under high impression the 'DT' in the full name of this droid, is a Stand in for 'Darktrooper'.

These droids have another cameo incoming, with 'STARWARS : BAD BATCH', though with a earlier version of the model itself.

The Sentry Droid stands at 2 Meters tall, equipped with a Modified E-11 blaster built into its right arm. While this is nothing unusual for Imperial ground forces, it also is more survivable compared to the common stormtrooper. It's thick armor is able to shrug off blaster bolts and features some unique programming for increased combat efficiency.
